Re: Metal Gear Solid
Okay. Well, it originally started out on the MSX game system as Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 on the MSX2.
Anyways, you take on the roll of Solid Snake in most of the games. The basic idea is infiltrating an enemy controlled base/ship/town. You go in to find out information about the terrorists, dig up info on a bipedaled walking tank, capable of launching a nuclear missile from any terrain, and it's name is Metal Gear, giving the game its name.
Metal Gear: MSX
Metal Gear 2: MSX2
Metal Gear Solid - PS1
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - PS2
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater - PS2
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops - PSP
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - PS3
(There are spin off games, but I won't list them.)
It's a complex story that you won't understand until you beat all of the games listed above in order. Plus you might want to do some digging around on the internet for more info about it.

Ye, ive played 1,2 and 3. I absolutely love them. Best thing is the story lines in them, like you said there very complex and they always have a twist. Im yet to try Guns of the Patriots but looking forward to. Oh, and who can forget the cardboard boxes, there great!

Re: Metal Gear Solid
Yeah, I never liked the PSP version. The movement ticked me off to the point that I just put it down and never looked at it again.
